Mental Health Facts Section Title

Mental illnesses

"Mental illnesses can take many forms, just as physical illnesses do. Major mental illnesses include schizophrenia, mood disorders (depression and manic depression), anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, and organic brain disorders. Mental illnesses are still feared and misunderstood by many people, but the fear will disappear as people learn more about them. If you, or someone you know, has a mental illness, there is good news for you: all mental illnesses can be treated."

To find out more about mental illness, read the rest of the Canadian Mental Health Association fact sheet: Understanding Mental Illness.
